How to request deletion

Email hello@duosnore.com with the subject “Account deletion”, from the email address associated with your DuoSnore account.

Writing from that address is enough for us to verify it is you: we will never ask for your password or for identity documents. If you no longer have access to that mailbox, write to us anyway and we will tell you another way to prove the account is yours.

We process requests within 30 days at most, and usually within a few working days. You receive written confirmation once the deletion is done.

What is deleted

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. The following is erased from our servers:

• your account and sign-in credentials;
• your email address and the display name you chose;
• your synced nights: score, snoring duration, sound levels, detected episodes, breathing-pause indicators;
• your membership of a couple (“duo”), along with invitations sent or received;
• your subscription status held by our billing provider.

Data that stays on your phone

DuoSnore analyses your nights directly on your device. Audio recordings — the clips you can listen back to — are never sent to our servers: they exist only on your phone, and we have no way of reaching them.

To erase them, uninstall the app or clear its data from the Android settings. Deleting your account does not touch them — and conversely, uninstalling the app does not delete your account.

What we keep, and why

After deletion we keep only what the law requires us to keep:

• accounting records tied to a purchase (amount, date, transaction number), kept for 10 years under tax and accounting obligations — they contain no sleep data;
• technical backups of our servers, in which your data may persist for up to 30 days before being overwritten by rotation.

Beyond those periods, nothing remains. We keep no sleep data, not even anonymised, after a deletion request.

Deleting some data without closing the account

You can also ask us to erase only your synced nights while keeping your account, or to leave a duo without erasing anything else. Just say so in your email.
